Anthony Fakas is the Director of Information Technology.

​​Mr. Fakas came to the Office of the MTA Inspector General in 2020 with 35 years of experience serving in various IT roles at MTA Headquarters, which included working on several new initiatives such as MTA Police Department consolidation, the East Side Access Project, and the Business Service Center Server Infrastructure. In his last MTA role, Anthony was the Director of Data Protection/Recovery & Data Center Monitoring. Before joining the MTA, Mr. Fakas worked with the NYC Department of Juvenile Justice and CUNY.

Anthony is a graduate of Hunter College and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.​
